She has featured in many magazines and television advertisements which run all across the America. Anjana Bapat is among the top 10 selected candidates out of the Lakme Fashion Week. She is born and brought up in Mumbai. Reading, music and singing are her hobbies but, she finds more happiness in dancing. Before taking up modelling as a career, she used to work for a MNC as a programmer. For becoming a model, she even tried losing weight but did not find any success in it. Many failed attempts made her realize that her curvy body is her actual beauty. And then one fine day there she was walking the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week.
3. Kais Sundrani
Kais Sundrani was a student of Jai Hind College, Mumbai. He was always unsure of his oversized body and looks. There were times when he was neglected by people around him. But, he do not let any of the criticism from the other people affect his life. Then came the opportunity to showcase his modelling skills at the Lakme Fashion Week. There were 160 participants who took part in the unique initiative by Lakme but, Kais made himself stand out and bagged the prize. He was one of the top 10 selected candidates who walked the ramp for the show.
4. Payal Soni
Payal Soni, 22 year old from Mumbai is a sales executive by profession. She had her career lined up in the field of real estate. But, her desire to search and trendy and classy clothes turned her into a fashion influencer. She believes that the Indian fashion industry is a bit slow in accepting the plus-size models. She herself is a plus-size model and was also crowned as Miss Curvy Queen 2017. Skirts, denim, and graphic tees are in her favourite clothing list, when she heads towards the clothing search. She always wanted to be an inspiration for the people who thought plus size is a bad size and people with plus size can never become models or be in trend and today she is.
5. Anil Pamnani
Anil Pamnani is also one of the candidates who took part in the Lakme Fashion Week. He was amongst the top 10 selected candidates who would walk the ramp. To stand out from the rest 160 candidates and enter the top 10 list is itself a big achievement. A well-toned body was no more required to become a runway model. Anil grabbed this opportunity to showcase his body and became an inspiration for many boys out there.
